Biography

After 28 years of teaching kindergarten, first grade, and the visually impaired, and having held school psychologist positions in the public school system, Susan Sutherland-Lutz now devotes her time to working with families in creative ways to help them adjust to developmental changes and behavioral issues. As a former Director of Special Education and again in private practice Susan worked with autism assessments and supervised applied behavioral analysis programs.

Through these experiences and her private practice work, Susan has developed skills that enable her to work effectively with children and adolescents. She enjoys working with parents to help them understand behavioral and academic changes and how to increase communication with their children to affect positive change.

Susan is a member of the South Carolina Association of School Psychologists, the National Association of School Psychologists and the American Psychological Association.
